Stone Glacier designed its Chilkoot sleeping bags for backpack hunters spending days in the mountain backcountry. In our review, our tester — an avid hunter — said Stone Glacier’s Chilkoot sleeping bags are “cloudlike and comfortable” and “the best I’ve used.”

The brand put an emphasis on the warmth-to-weight ratio and packability of the Chilkoot 15 sleeping bag. To accomplish this, it uses several premium materials, including a Pertex Quantum shell for water and wind resistance as well as the 850-plus-fill-power goose down HyperDRY insulation.

The bag is shaped with “an articulated footbox and a differential cut” to maintain loft in any sleeping position. Similarly, the articulated hood has an insulated neck cuff with an elastic and magnetic closure to trap heat inside.

The Stone Glacier Chilkoot 15 sleeping bag should fit anyone up to 6’5″. It weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces, with a shoulder width of 32 inches and a hip width of 24 inches.

Stone Glacier originated from years of sheep hunts, from Alaska to Montana’s Beartooth Wilderness. The brand’s goal? “Build the lightest, most durable gear using only the toughest technical materials available.” Stone Glacier’s products are made in the USA.
